We love seeing the ways that schools reach out to their wider community and engage with those who have links to the school beyond just the pupils, parents and staff.
Kinross Wolaroi School, a 3-18 day and boarding school in New South Wales, Australia, recently held a special event to welcome some very important visitors – the pupils’ grandparents. The ‘Grandfriends’ day saw Junior School children proudly show their older relatives and friends their school and the work they’ve been doing, topped off with a picnic lunch.
Events like these offer a superb opportunity for some heartwarming photography, a lovely way to include grandparents in the life of the School and showcases how their grandchildren benefit from being pupils there.
How do you welcome your wider community into school life?
